July 12, 2006: INITECH today announced that they are the first XDI-Accredited I-Broker to provide three i-services to their customers. Registrants can receive i-name Single Sign-On (i-SSO), Contact and Forwarding services immediately.

Contact service lets registrants use their i-name as a permanent contact point on the Internet that prevents spam by requiring senders to authenticate themselves. For example, INITECH's own i-name for their i-broker service is “@greenbutton”. To contact the INITECH i-broker team, just visit http://xri.net/@greenbutton. This contact point will always available even if the INITECH i-broker team's email address or domain changes.

Forwarding service lets you use your i-name to manage all links related to you. For example, INITECH's own forwarding service will always redirect http://xri.net/@greenbutton/(+home) to its homepage, and http://xri.net/@greenbutton/(+blog) to its blog.

i-SSO service lets you use your i-name and secure i-broker password to identify and login to websites supporting either SAML or OpenID. (Note that currently only SAML is available, OpenID will be available in September.)
